Cryptids of Maine is a series of original art prints and postcards illustrated by me celebrating the state’s most fascinating folklore. The back of each piece tells the story of each cryptid researched and written by me – allowing the legends to live on.
The fabled Specter Moose was first spotted by a hunting guide near Lobster Lake in 1891. Subsequent stories describing the albino creature grew with each sighting. The curious cryptid stands at 10-15 feet tall, weighs nearly 2,500 pounds, sports magnificently large antlers, and is covered in white fur that gives off a faint glow. Hunters reported bullets failed, as the mammoth moose is known to vanish without notice and pass through solid objects at will.
Postage is included for continental United States orders.
